Bournemouth & Poole College has an exciting opportunity for a Campaigns and Events Officerto join their team in North Road. Joining on a part time basis as part of a fixed term contract, in return you will receive a competitive salary of £23,257 (pro rata) per annum.

The Campaigns and Events Officer role:

You will deliver externally facing marketing campaigns that drive new enquiries to the college. Additionally, you will support department managers to plan and deliver departmental campaigns.
You’ll also plan and deliver college-wide events. This includes the pre-event marketing, event-day delivery and post event evaluation.
The job involves some evening and potentially weekend work

As our Campaigns and Events Officer you will:
 
- Be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating individual marketing campaigns
- Deliver, assess and make recommendations to improve college–wide marketing campaigns, new initiatives and materials
- Provide a positive, helpful and reputable point of reference to ensure that campaigns and materials are effective
- Act as a central point of liaison between advertising agencies, the design agency and the college
- Provide expert input including concept design and idea generation into general marketing activities, discussions and decisions
- Be responsible for the pre-event marketing, planning, delivery, organisation, evaluation and effectiveness of Open Events
- Support Directors with the pre-event marketing, planning, execution and monitoring of agreed campaigns and events
- Provide expertise and guidance to Managers to enable their events to run effectively
- Develop and maintain event management protocols to ensure a high degree of professionalism, consistency and co-ordination
- Where necessary, represent the college at external marketing events
- Manage agreed marketing activities and budgets
- Manage and co-ordinate any activities relating to marketing eg. photo shoots

The ideal Campaign and Events Officer will need:

- Thorough understanding of the marketing mix
- Campaign management experience
- Event management experience
- Writing creative copy experience
- Experience in producing marketing materials and event organisation
- Experience of company and/or project administration
- Knowledge of running marketing campaigns
- To be a creative thinker and writer
- Degree level education or similar
- GCSE/’O’ level qualifications in English and Maths
