Online Assessor/Internal Moderator
We have an exciting opportunity available for 2 enthusiastic and committed Online Assessor/Internal Moderator to join the team based in Bournemouth. In return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of £27,388.00 (pro rata), per annum.

The Online Assessor/Internal Moderator role:
As a Care Assessor/Internal Moderator (22 hours per week) and a Business Assessor/Internal Moderator (15 hours per week) you will ensure that The College's provision of online, work-based qualifications are administered and delivered according to the standards laid down by the awarding bodies and the College.
You will also ensure that learners achieve in a timely fashion, by implementing all the necessary actions during the term of their qualification.
Responsibilities as our Online Assessor/Internal Moderator:
To ensure that learners who wish to enroll on the online qualifications have all the necessary guidance and resources made available to successfully achieve their qualification.
To organise and carry out on-line support and feedback to learners, in order to perform assessments using recognised assessment methods.
To record assessment decisions and give feedback to learners, and if necessary, arrange for support activities to take place.
To accurately record and review learners progress throughout the term of the qualification and inform management of any concerns that may affect the outcome.
To work closely with Lead Internal Moderator and External Moderators to ensure that the quality of the online assessments meets the standards required by the awarding bodies, and the College.
To facilitate and support assessors to meet the requirements on a regular basis.
To support assessors in the standardisation of assessment evidence and sharing of best practice.
To sample assessment evidence according to the College's internal moderation policy and awarding body standards.
To ensure that learners are aware of the College’s appeals procedures, and participate in appeals as required.
To participate in any training appropriate for the role which may require attending internal and external courses.
As our Online Assessor/Internal Moderator you will ideally have:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in delivering Level 2 Qualifications on eLearning platforms.
- Hold a Level 3 or higher qualification in Health and Social Care or Business and Marketing courses.
- Hold a Level 4 Award (previously V1 award).
- Ideally hold a FE teaching qualification.
- The ability to build rapport with learners and achieve timely learner outcomes.
- The ability to work to flexible work patterns and be very organised.
