The Role:

The Curriculum Administration Team supports the administrative requirements of the academic areas that are not fulfilled by central functions.
We act as a central point of administration support for staff and students regarding full-time or part-time FE courses.

 

Responsibilities as our Professional Support Apprentice will include:

  • First point of contact for all students and staff in the administration office
  • Act as point of contact on behalf of Directors and Learning Managers of Curriculum, including taking telephone calls, dealing with messages, and progressing matters for management attention
  • Co-ordinate and organise curriculum area events and appointments, e.g. parents’ evenings, awards evenings, and events, interviews, visits, and room bookings
  • Provide administrative support for academic staff, e.g. taking messages, liaising with staff and parents to arrange meetings, writing letters to students/parents, photocopying and general administration duties
  • Build and maintain links and knowledge with curriculum teams, providing support in the areas as required including minute-taking at meetings, and attending training and events as necessary.
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of curriculum areas e.g. communicating timetable changes, reporting and recording staff and student absence/lateness, ordering stationary, certificate administration, filing, generating and handling correspondence, and data input.
  • Provide high levels of customer service.

 

As our Professional Support Apprentice, you’ll ideally have:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  • Experience in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction within the work environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
    • Communication skills including written and verbal
    • Commitment to learning
    • The ability to work in a team as well as on your own as well as being self-motivated
    • Good organisation, communication, and computer skills
